The owner of the hotel was very attentive and welcoming, providing homemade cake and a glass of Port upon arrival. the fire he prepared for us in the common area was wonderful, and the location was great for exploring the castles in the area.
This made for a very cold and uncomfortable night.

I loved the hotel's unique character and beautiful gardens. The decorations were amazing, giving a nostalgic ambiance. The room was spacious and nicely finished, with a modern bathroom. The owner was kind and treated me like a family member. They even went out of their way to accommodate my dietary restrictions, providing alternative food options. The hotel's location in the Portuguese Mountains was perfect for a stopover on my journey from Madrid to Porto.
Nothing I didn't like to be fair.

The breakfast room with the pool billiard table was a unique and enjoyable experience. The village itself provided an authentic glimpse into rural Portuguese life. the lovely garden at the back of the property was a pleasant and peaceful place to relax.
There was a strong and unpleasant smell in the first room we were given, which made our stay uncomfortable. However, the owner was accommodating and provided us with a different room for the second night.
